ART IN THE GARDEN RETURNS!

TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW!

Join the Arts Council of Lake Oswego for Art in the Garden on May 18th from 5 to 8:30 p.m. for a one-of-a-kind artistic event. Stroll through the grounds of beautiful Tumwater Vineyard on Pete’s Mountain in West Linn and watch five local artists demonstrate their unique processes. Delectable food by Nicoletta’s Table will be paired with wines from Tumwater Vineyard along with a silent and live auction that will help the Art Council of Lake Oswego continue to ensure the arts are an integral part of life in our community.

All funds raised will provide direct support for the Arts Council’s Gallery Without Walls, the renowned outdoor public art program by integrating technology into the viewing experience via the app and web-based use, along with support for the ARTspace gallery with education and outreach programming.

This year’s artist lineup includes:

Heather McMaster of Girl in the Pearl, is a maker of one-of-a-kind jewelry. Heather is recognized throughout the Portland area for her sense of design and creativity. Attendees will have the opportunity to watch her produce and purchase these hand-made pieces that are featured in boutiques around Oregon and California.

Emily Miller, a life-long artist known for her talent in many facets of media, will demonstrate her encaustic work for attendees to watch, participate, and purchase. Her work focuses on abstract landscapes and nature studies with collaged natural elements. The encaustic painting process uses layers of colored wax melted together with heat, creating a velvety, luminous surface.

Liz Pike is a self-taught artist who has an affection for the outdoors and nature. Liz will be inspired by the beautiful Tumwater landscape and will capture the beauty of it while painting on-site for patrons to enjoy. Known for her “plein air” style of painting, Liz will have works of art for sale at the event.

Fran Victor recognized for her portraiture and woodblock printing will have an area set up for patrons to experience first-hand block printing and the process of designing, inking, and printing. Each participant will also receive a signed and numbered take-home print to commemorate the evening.

Ron Bunch is a painter and collage artist who also has a passion for designing silk scarves. Ron will bring his process, technique, and design for patrons to see and experience. Beautiful one-of-a-kind silk scarves will be available for purchase.

Nicoletta’s Table will provide wonderful food including Nicoletta’s famous mini meatballs, mini calzones, fried cheese ravioli, and more including gluten-free and vegan choices. Scrumptious desserts will also be on-hand, all paired with wonderful Tumwater wine.

Tickets are $100 each and are on sale now until the event is filled or May 10th. Art in the Garden has limited tickets so reserve your place now!
