COMING SOON: June 2024, Jeffrey Mitchell & Iván Carmona (Youtube)

This content-rich and dynamic series is led and guided by curators, artists, scholars, writers, and thinkers, and offers an opportunity for community members to engage in lively, inclusive, and informal dialogue with regional artists. Our goal is to present a diversity of artistic styles and celebrate various cultural identities that are typically underrepresented.

Past Art + Community in Conversation have included:

  • Grand Ronde Tribal member Greg Archuletta on resource gathering and keeping through an Indigenous lens

  • Portland-based artists V. Maldonado and Anna Joyce on leading a life of creativity

  • Terresa White and Mike Suri on collaborative public art projects

  • Artists and partners, Jeffry Mitchell and Iván Carmona

The Art + Community in Conversation series is made possible through the generous support of Josie Mendoza and Hugh Mackworth. Thanks to the artists and surrounding creative communities who support our work.
