Join us this Friday from noon to 1 p.m. for Emily Miller's demonstration on the process and technique of encaustic painting. Feel free to bring your lunch-we will provide beverages and dessert.

Encaustic painting is a spontaneous and intuitive process. Watch and learn how Emily begins with a general concept for each painting and how it flows into a work of art. Witnessing the unique effects of each stroke of the iron along with the addition of color keeps the process fun and exciting. Random results and accidental patterns are an integral part of the work.

The demonstration will be held in the gallery with attendees able to walk though and see the wonderful pieces in the Water & Form: Clay, Fiber and Encaustic exhibition.
