Drink & Draw: Spotlight on Monet

THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST.  THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT.  YOU ARE WELCOME TO CALL OUR OFFICE AND GET ON THE WAITING LIST.  503-675-3738.

Imagine yourself in the south of France, enjoying a crisp fall evening with the scent of lavender and freshly cut hay filling the air. Surveying the harvest landscape and seasonal light, we will study and paint in the style of Impressionist master Claude Monet.

Never painted? Don’t worry, we will guide you through the entire process. Using acrylic paint on canvas we will explore Monet’s study of light using his “Haystack” painting series as a guide. Along with a brief history of Impressionism in art and music we will learn a little about the French countryside in the time before the end of the 19th century.

This evening is designed to enrich, relax, and delight you.

Join us for this evening of artistic exploration on Friday, November 2 from 6-8pm. $50 secures your spot for the evening and includes inspired drinks, food, painting, and fun! Only 25 spots are available, so buy your ticket today.

Our guide for the evening will be artist Laura Janes, a fine artist specializing in painting natural forms. Her work is informed by the raw, organic beauty of mountains and deserts. She draws inspiration from elements found in the natural world, including plants, trees, water, and rocks.
