Gathering | Pattern is a planned exhibition that will bring together works by artists of the Columbia Basin Basketry Guild (CBBG). The guild is celebrating its 30th year. Gathering | Pattern is open to all weaving styles CBBG artists work in. It will highlight various styles and techniques from beginning to end, including various forms of media such as gathered natural materials or sourced recycled materials; weaving begins in the gathering and ends in the patterning. Weaving holds the importance of learning and teaching which are foundational to CBBG, as the gathering of knowledge and community plays a large part in the journey of weavers. The exhibition will take place from June 5 through July 24, 2020 and include a variety of concurrent programming including First Friday Receptions and a Drink & Draw.
