Celebrate the New Gallery Without Walls Sculptures on September 18, from 3 to 5:30 p.m.
The Arts Council of Lake Oswego and the City of Lake Oswego are excited to be changing the landscape with twelve new sculptures adorning the streets! The citywide celebration will be held September 18, from 3 to 5:30 PM, at City Hall, located at 380 A Avenue, Lake Oswego.
This family-friendly annual event promises to be filled with food, fun, and art created on the spot to buy and take home. Experience the unique opportunity to meet many of this year’s artists and learn about how their work goes from idea to three-dimensional sculpture. The event culminates in docent-led tours of the new sculptures. Join in the fun for a grand tour of some of this year’s additions.
Lake Oswego’s public art program is unique as new pieces are loaned to the city each year. With the combination of both temporary and permanent pieces, over 80 + public sculptures make their home in Lake Oswego. As the permanent sculptures become beloved characters and fixtures throughout the City, the rotating sculptures allow the community to enjoy new artwork, processes, themes, media, styles, and outstanding talent each year.
Sales from the drawing rally will benefit the Arts Council’s mission to ensure that the arts are an integral part of life in our community. This event is open free and open to the public.
