Art + Community is a free lecture series hosted by the Arts Council of Lake Oswego and sponsored by Josie Mendoza and Hugh Mackworth.
Artists V. Maldonado and Anna Joyce are married creatives raising a family together. Their joint lecture will touch on finding your authentic voice and overcoming the challenges of making time for creative development.
Anna Joyce is an artist and textile designer. Joyce is best known for her colorful hand-dyed clothing, housewares collections, and books on hand-dyeing and printing techniques.
V. Maldonado is a multidisciplinary artist, freelance curator, and writer from Changuitirio, Michoacán, Mexico. Maldonado's work explores the influence of identity on our experiences and perceptions through a combination of traditional and contemporary media.
Both artists live and work in Portland, Oregon.
