The Arts Council of Lake Oswego is kicking off its spring Arts Now! Campaign with an eight week giving program targeted to raise money for improvements to Gallery Without Walls and the 510 Museum & ARTspace. As with many facilities and programming, time takes its toll. To continue to be a vital hub of energy to the community, expanded infrastructure and access is needed to reach the community through ACLO’s programs and services. The campaign will run May 4th through June 30th, 2017.
What will your donation go toward? There are three distinctive categories that Arts Now! will support, the first being added security for the 510 Museum & ARTspace. With technology changing in the world of security, the Arts Council needs better monitoring and equipment. The goal for this portion of the program is $5,000. In addition to security, further upgrades are needed in the museum space itself. New chairs, tables, equipment, and education program support and supplies for children, adults, and seniors is goal number two with the objective of raising $2,500. And lastly, for Gallery Without Walls, ACLO would like to expand access to the sculptures with portable seating, enrich and expand the education and docent programs, and provide additional interactive programming with more outreach. The goal for Gallery Without Walls is $5,000. In total, the ACLO is looking for $12,500 to be raised by July 1st, 2017.
As a bonus, every Tuesday from May 9th through June 30th, the Arts Council will collect names of donors and enter them into a drawing for the weekly Arts Now! Give Prize. Each donor who gives on Tuesday throughout the campaign has an opportunity to be chosen at random to win a great incentive prize. Items range in value from $40 to $2,500 and includes offerings from a Pete’s Mountain wine basket, to original artwork by local artists. Keep an eye out each week to see what the prizes will be and be sure to give on those days to increase your chances. Information will be posted through the ACLO website and social media.
Are contributions tax deductible? Yes! As a 501c3 organization, gifts to the Arts Council of Lake Oswego are deductible. Our tax ID # is 93-1278854 and we will send you an official receipt in July.
