Highlights, May 21–August 20, 2021

Highlights features carefully curated works from the City of Lake Oswego’s Permanent Art Collection. The entire collection includes about 240 works by local and Northwest regional artists, built up over nearly four decades by selection committees, an Art Commission (now the Public Art Committee), and the Arts Council of Lake Oswego. An impressive municipal collection, it boasts nationally recognized artists such as Carl Morris, Bruce West, Lillian Pitt, Leroy Setziol, Ken Shores, Carol Grigg, and Hans Schiebold. These renowned artists also have works in some of the country’s most prestigious collections including the Portland Art Museum, the Seattle Art Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the Smithsonian, and the Guggenheim Museum. These selected works have graced the walls of Lake Oswego’s civic buildings for years but will now enjoy their first spotlight feature in the new City Hall!

Our new Artspace Gallery, located at 380 A Avenue, Suite A is open now, Tuesday through Friday, 10 to 5 p.m.
