We invite artists to submit their work for a juried exhibition at Artspace during fall 2025. The exhibition will be on view at Artspace from August 1 to October 17, 2025.

SPECTRA is our theme for the Artspace Open Call of 2025. SPECTRA is defined as the plural for spectrum, or a continuous sequence or range, most commonly associated with an array of colors, sounds, opinions, and identities. A spectrum positions phenomena into a sequence, ripe with possibility and inclusion.  The phenomena may be visible, like color, or invisible, like sounds or ideas. SPECTRA offers an open-ended theme that intends to generously accommodate a variety of artistic styles and concepts. We are looking forward to seeing how artists interpret this theme in their visual artwork! 

We welcome works of all media, including photographs, prints, paintings, video art, sculpture, and installation. Up to three works from each participating artist will be curated into the exhibition. We have limited space available for sculptural work. Review the application guidelines carefully to learn how to submit your work for consideration for this exhibition. 

Work displayed in the exhibition will be eligible for the following awards:

• 1st Place: $200 

• 2nd Place: $100

• 3rd Place: $50

Application Requirements: 

• Artist Statement (1500 characters or less) 

• In your statement, please share with us about your specific artistic practice in a clear, authentic and compelling way. Consider the “what, why, and how” of your work. If you want support, see this link.

• Up to 6 images of original artwork: 

• Images should be jpegs no larger than 5 MB each. For each artwork, provide the title, media, dimensions, year completed, and purchase price.

• Conceptual information is optional.

• Please only submit original prints and artworks, and not reproductions of original artworks.

• Resume/CV: Upload a PDF no more than two pages long that outlines artistic activities and /or professional accomplishments.

• Website link or social media if it conveys your creative practice
